Before
This was a factory in Strydom Park. The white epoxy had to be completely removed by grinding with diamond teeth. Then the floor had to be skimmed to make it smooth. Next was a double layer of WB Epoxy primer to control water ingress. Final was two coats of polyaspartic resin.
Polyaspartic is the latest resin which combines the best of both epoxy and polyurethane.
During
Here we are busy with the repairs. Due to budget constraints we could not strip off all the old epoxy but had to do individual repairs. This involved breaking out the old epoxy, grinding to clean concrete, applying WB epoxy primer to stop the damp rising, apply levelling polymer, sanding it smooth once dried. Then we primed it with DP WB Primer from Specialist Coatings
After
This was the final floor finish. The product used was a polyaspartic, which can be supplied in any colour on the RAL chart.
This is a hard wearing, extremely versatile resin which will give them years of service.
The client was very happy with the final result.
